Goguryeo(高句麗)

Goguryeo(高句麗) was one of the ancient dynasties of Korea.

The nationality is Hoengseong Ko Clan. The original national name was Goguryeo, but it is presumed that it was renamed Goryeo in King Jangsu based on the Geumseokmun Gate and historical records of the time.

Since then, it has been inherited by Goryeo (901) established by Gungye and Goryeo (918) established by Wang Geon, and the name of Goryeo continued for more than a thousand years. Korea, which is currently Korea's English name, is also derived from Goryeo.
